Do you ever do this? Each morning, weather permitting, I walk to work. It’s about a two mile walk, but it’s good exercise and the task goes by quickly because my trusty iPhone is supplying the tunes! Anyway, every now and then I realize that my footsteps are matching the beat of the song that’s playing. Once that’s happened, I’ll usually try to keep up with the rhythm… slowing down or speeding up as necessary. It’s fun! It’s like I’m marching to my own theme! That is until a peppy song like “The Devil Goes Down to Georgia” kicks in and I’m riverdancing down the damn street.

Things get awkward quickly and I swear even the bums look on with judging eyes. BTW, I don’t actually have “The Devil Goes Down to Georgia” in my playlist. Or two spoons ready at the call for the violin solo. Anymore that is…
